A telecom leader drives engagement with HBO’s Game of Thrones

As the world’s largest telecommunications company, AT&T is paving the way for digital brand engagement. In summer 2017, AT&T saw an opportunity to cultivate into an entertainment destination for consumers – and turned to Hothouse to support the initiative with an extensive content marketing campaign.

Leveraging the appeal of the addictive Game of Thrones series (and its obsessive fan base), AT&T teamed up with HBO to create a digital content hub featuring exclusive GOT content. Hothouse then developed a comprehensive digital and social media strategy to reach fans and drive traffic to the site.

By hyper-targeting individuals interested in Game of Thrones, and continually optimizing ad placements around creative that maximized engagement, we helped reach millions of fans—no matter whether their allegiances lay with Team Stark or Team Lannister.
