Whether you’re a native, a transplant or just passing through, you can’t ignore one of Atlanta’s greatest pain points—transportation. With hours of time lost while sitting in traffic, dodging red lights, circling parking lots and merging onto one-lane roads, driving in our city is no picnic. So, Hothouse teamed up with Lyft to help Atlantans make peace with parking.

How did we do it? We created Lyft Lots — taking over parking spaces in and around some of the city’s largest events, such as the 4th of July celebration at Centennial Olympic Park, Music Midtown and Atlanta Pride in Piedmont Park and the first day of school at Georgia Tech. Lyft Lots were portable, peace-promoting parking spots that offered Atlantans tasty treats like King of Pops, “parking tickets” that included a code for Lyft credits and Snapchat filters that allowed event goers the perfect opportunity to make their road rage-infused friends jealous.

At the end of the day we didn’t just help A-Town kick parking to the curb, we also raised awareness around everything Lyft has to offer—peaceful transportation, space to chill and stress-free days that allow customers to spend more time doing what they plan to do, and less time searching for a parking spot.
