Millennials, TV and the Future of Entertainment
Industry influencers discuss the impact of disruption.
October 8, 2015 marked the first ever AMA Entertainment Marketing SIG (Special Interest Group), a panel discussion featuring prominent marketing thought leaders from the TV industry—and sponsored by Hothouse.
The sold-out event, The Future of TV: Do Millennials Hold the Remote?, was designed to spark a conversation among content developers, brands, distributors and agencies, with a panel discussion that featured leading industry experts. The powerhouse panel included Mark Greatrex, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, COX Communications; Peter Naylor, SVP Advertising Sales, Hulu; Michael Ouweleen, CMO, Cartoon Network; and Peter Scott, Vice President Emerging Media, Turner Sports. The event also spotlighted insights gathered from Millennials themselves.
Our panel addressed the ever-evolving ways consumers interact with content, and what this dynamic media landscape means for marketers. One major takeaway from the experts: no matter where and how people watch content, it’s not the type of marketing that matters—it’s the relevance of the message, content and advertising. Our full list of key takeaways is coming soon.
