The Attention Deficit

So many shows. So little time. And it’s not just what’s “on TV” anymore that’s competing for viewers’ attention. NatGeo was feeling the pressure of promoting season 2 of Gordon Ramsay’s Uncharted to DIRECTV subscribers. We engineered an interruption that capitalized on the precious few seconds a brand has to breakthrough.

Creating Engagement

We brought the party games to the platforms (Insta & FB) by using Uncharted storylines to engage with viewers. Serving up the most unique scenarios from the show using the “Would you rather?” query not only connected viewers directly to the content, but also prompted quick, easy responses through polling or emoji comments.

Impact

Viewers gladly envisioned themselves in the chef’s coat of Gordon himself, earning over 5.1 million impressions on Instagram and 51% audience penetration, proving that the poop emoji wins every time.
